In humans, the genes encoding tyrosine hydroxylase (TH), insulin and insulin‐like growth factor II (IGF‐II) form an extremely tight linkage group on chromosome 11p15. Characterisation of the homologous genomic region of a teleost, the barramundi __Lates calcarifer__, revealed tight linkage of the TH
