โฆ Synopsis
The behaviour of resistivity q(T) and Hall coefficient R H (T) was studied in disordered SmB 6 compound known as a Kondo insulator. Atomic disordering leads to decrease in both q and R H at low T, similar to the observed behaviour under high pressure. These processes are expected to alter the energy spectrum of the gap (pseudogap) structure due to the mutual shift of the 4f states and the 5d band. This gives rise to an insulator-to-metal transition in SmB 6 . The recovery of the radiation effects under annealing starts at 600 ยฐC only and does not terminate at up to 1000 ยฐC.
