β¦ Synopsis
Environmental decisions are now central to much business practice. Those who take such decisions are categorized in this paper as dutiful, occupational or specialist. However, many individuals already in business did not receive a formal education that included considering environmental topics in business decisions. It is recommended that professional societies and trades associations take an active role in providing a structured environmental education through their programmes of continued professional development. These programmes could be based around problem-making techniques such as systems methods.
