✦ Synopsis
Carbon black (CB) are commonly added to commercial elastomers for reasons of economy and also to favourably modify properties such as tension, compression, hardness and abrasion, so tension, compression, hardness and abrasion tests were carried out to investigate the effect of CB loading on these properties for Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR) and Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR) compounds. The obtained results of five different compositions for SBR and NBR with 0, 20, 30, 50 and 70 phr of CB were compared. The dependences of these mechanical properties on CB loading were found.
