✦ Synopsis
G (m-OH) 2 ] 3À has been used as a catalyst in the chemoselective oxidation of various kinds of electron-deficient alkenes, with acetate, ether, carbonyl, and chloro groups at the allylic positions, to give the corresponding epoxides in high yields with only an equimolar amount of H 2 O 2 . Even acrylonitrile and methacrylonitrile could be epoxidized without formation of the corresponding amides. For more information see the Full Paper by N. Mizuno et al. on page 7549 ff.
