Ein molekularer Solomon‐Knoten wurde aus einer dynamischen Bibliothek molekularer Knoten durch kinetisch kontrollierte Kristallisation isoliert. Der Einführung gemischtmetallischer Template in das übliche Protokoll für die Synthese Borromäischer Ringe ermöglichte es J. F. Stoddart et al., eine molekulare Solomon‐Verknüpfung als einziges kristallines Produkt unter den beschriebenen Reaktionsbedingungen zu erhalten; sie konnten dessen Struktur röntgenographisch ermitteln, wie sie in ihrer Zuschrift auf S. 222 ff. schildern.
