โœฆ Synopsis

We assessed the alternative approach to stage II testicular non-seminoma, namely to treat patients following orchidectomy with platinum-based combination chemotherapy. Limited lymphadenectomy is undertaken only for patients with residual abnormal lymph-node masses following chemotherapy. This is a standard approach for patients with more advanced presentations of metastatic non-seminoma, and prognostic factor analysis suggests that chemotherapy is associated with better results in limited-volume stage II disease [8,9].
