## Abstract Zeroโ€field susceptibility and specific heat of Pb[Cu(SO~4~)(OH)~2~] (linarite) single crystal were measured. In order to verify that linarite is a quasiโ€oneโ€dimensional system with competing nearestโ€neighbour and nextโ€nearestโ€neighbour inโ€chain exchange interaction (__J~1~__ โ‰ˆ โ€“30 K, __
