## Abstract ## Aims Flavonoids comprise a large group of natural polyphenolic compounds, which possess a wide spectrum of physiological and pharmacological effects. Recently, the flavonoid galangin was found to modulate smooth muscle contractility. The aim of the present study was to investigate t
