β¦ Synopsis
Oxidation of glucose to 2,5-diketogluconic acid by Erwinia herbicola was inhibited at 100% dissolved 0, tension (DOT) relative to air at 1 atm. Gluconic acid accumulation, however, increased under this condition. The negative influence of the high DOT is attributed to a IO-fold decrease in 2-ketogluconate dehydrogenase activity.

## Abstract The effect of hydrogen on the concentration of singlet oxygen in the a^1^Ξ~g~ and b^1^Ξ£ states, generated from a microwave discharge in O~2~ and in an O~2~/Ar mixture, was studied in flow reactors. The addition of hydrogen, in a range of 0.01β1 of concentration of the O~2~, increased th
