## Abstract Heparanase, a heparan sulfateโ€specific endoโ€ฮฒโ€Dโ€glucuronidase, plays an important role in tumor cell metastasis through the degradation of extracellular matrix heparan sulfate proteoglycans (ECM HSPG). Heparanase activity correlates with the metastatic propensity of tumor cells. Suramin
