The inhibitory mode of action of jasmonic acid (JA) on the growth of etiolated oat (Avena sativa L. cv. Victory) coleoptile segments was studied in relation to the synthesis of cell wall polysaccharides using [14C]glucose. Exogenously applied JA significantly inhibited indoleacetic acid (IAA)-induce
