C-cleuteratecl a-amino acids NH,+CDRCOO-were prepared by electrolytic reduction and enzymic methods. The i&a-red spectra of these substances were measured and the comparison of the results with those obtained for non-deuterated and N-deuterated compounds enabled us to assign the infra-red bands.
