The derived spectroscopic constants for 28 Si 35 Cl ϩ include e ϭ 678.24316(18) cm Ϫ1 and B e ϭ 0.2870288(14) cm Ϫ1 . The equilibrium internuclear distance is r e ϭ 1.9439105(46) Å. The equilibrium dissociation energy calculated from Dunham's expanded Morse potential is D e ϭ 49 431(57) cm Ϫ1 .
