✦ Synopsis

HNO has been observed in emission from a radiofrequency discharge through a mixture of ammonia and oxygen. The vi (N-H stretching) band in the region 2400-3200 cm-' has been recorded with a Fourier transform spectrometer using an apodized resolution of 0.04 cm-'. The analysis of the band has been extended to higher K values than in earlier work.
