Infrared and polarized Raman spectra of (NH4)JH(S04)1 have been recorded and analysed. Multiple bands are observed for the vibrational modes of SO:-and NH: groups. HSO; and SO:-ions are found to coexist with vibrational interaction between them. NH: ion is not rotating freely in the lattice.

## Abstract Raman and infrared spectra of NH~4~H~2~(IO~3~)~3~ and KH~2~(IO~3~)~3~ were recorded and analysed. The observed splittings of the stretching modes of IO~3~^β^ are due to the distortion of the IO~6~ octahedra. In NH~4~H~2~(IO~3~)~3~, the ammonium ion can rotate freely and the NH~4~^+^ gro
IR and polarized Raman spectra of \(\mathrm{CH}_{3} \mathrm{NH}_{3} \mathrm{NaSeO}_{4} \cdot 6 \mathbf{H}_{2} \mathrm{O}\) (MASS), \(\mathrm{NaNH}_{4} \mathrm{ScO}_{4} \cdot 2 \mathrm{H}_{2} \mathrm{O}(\mathrm{SAS})\), and their deuterated analogues are recorded and analyzed. The low-temperature form of K 3 Sm(PO 4 ) 2 crystallizes in the glaserite type. The Raman and infrared spectra have been investigated: they are consistent with the proposed space monoclinic system [a = 7.4347(5) A Λ, b = 5.6270(5) A Λ, c = 9.4919(5) A Λ, Ξ² = 90.870(6)Β°, Z = 2, space group P2 1 /m].
