Infra-red and Raman spect ra have been obtained for the compounds (CH 3)3SiH , (CH3bSiD, (CH3)2SiH2 and (CH3)2SiD2' Almo st complete assignments have been made. There is considerable coupling between bending motions of the SiH and SiH 2 groups and other motions in the mol ecule.
