✦ Synopsis

Recent work has focused on the problem of designing noise shaping "lters with low increase in total quantization noise power gain. In this contribution, given the desired shape of the noise spectrum over some portion of the total bandwidth, a theoretical lower bound for noise power gain is derived. As a consequence, it allows to optimize noise shaping "lters towards that theoretical best shape.
