With the current pace of organizational change within the NHS there is a growing need to examine how information is contributing to business objectives. A valuable tool in this information management review process is the β€˜nformation audit’. This paper describes an information audit conducted for a Regional Health Authority. The management and methodology of the project are presented in detail together with the implications for the subject organization and ensuing opportunities for health information professionals.
