✦ Synopsis
Male Swiss mice were exposed to a single L D ~" (75%; i.p.) of mercury, zinc, lead and manganese to determine their influence on serum sialic acid and protein levels after a refractory period of 48 h. They significantly elevated, in different proportions, the serum levels of total and perchloric acid (PCA)-soluble sialic acids (biological marker) and PCA-soluble proteins, thus indicating their toxicity.

## Abstract The aim of the present study was to investigate the serum total protein (TP), total sialic acid (TSA), lipid‐associated sialic acid (LSA), LSA/TP, and LSA/TP values in type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) patients. Two study groups (healthy controls and type 2 DM subjects) were examined. For t
## Abstract The influence of vitamin B~6~ on fatty acids content in serum and liver of rats receiving low protein diets was studied. Addition of B~6~ decreased linoleic acid (LA) and increased α‐linolenic acid (ALA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) in serum of rats fed a protein‐deficient diet (9% en
