In (\mathrm{CuO}{5}) is isostructural to (\mathrm{Y}{2} \mathrm{Cu}{2} \mathrm{O}{5}) both in its crystal and magnetic structure. In and (Y) can be substituted by each other in any ratio to make new compounds (\mathrm{Y}{2-x} \mathrm{In}{x} \mathrm{Cu}{2} \mathrm{O}{5}(x=0-2)) which were identified by XRD and IR spectrum. The structural change in (\mathrm{Y}{2-x} \mathrm{In}{x} \mathrm{Cu}{2} \mathrm{O}{5}) influences its magnetic property.
