✦ Synopsis

The in¯uence of the loading rate in the viscoplastic regularization procedure is analysed. A method to estimate the internal length scale and the minimum viscoplastic parameter (relaxation time) necessary to obtain mesh independence, taking into account the frequency contents of the load, is proposed.
