โฆ Synopsis
A series of molybdena based catalysts have been tested for the selective oxidation of methane at ambient pressure, with NzO as oxidant.
Formaldehyde was produced over rnolybdena on silica and sodium treated silica but use of other supports, such as TiO, or NgO resulted in total oxidation products only being produced.
An optinunn molybdena loading was observed with the silica support.
