## Abstract Collagen is a widely used biomaterial in tissue engineering. Mechanical stimulation of cell‐seeded collagen constructs and its effects on cell orientation, intracellular signaling, and molecular responses have been reported. Our aim was to study the transfer of applied mechanical load t
