โœฆ Synopsis

XRD results showed that all TiCr X (X = 1.6-2.2) binary alloys had C14 Laves phase composition. Among them TiCr 1.8 had the highest maximum and reversible hydrogen sorption capacity. Upon the partial substitution of Mn for Cr in TiCr 1.8 , the C14 Laves phase remained. After Mo partial substitution for Cr, C15 Laves phase and a minor amount of โฃ-Ti phase coexisted in the alloy. Only body centered cubic phase existed in the alloy with the substitution of V for Cr. Substitution of M (M = Mn, Mo, V) for Cr increased the alloys maximum hydrogen sorption capacity. The substitution of V for Cr made the hydrogen sorption capacity increase drastically.

The present work investigated the influence of ball milling parameter, such as milling mode, milling velocity and milling time, and element addition on the microstructure and electrochemical properties of MgNi alloys prepared by mechanical alloying (MA). It has been found that partially amorphized M
