Abstract

Some numerical results for a conical horn with three modifications of a hard corrugated PBG wall are presented. It is shown that a completely corrugated horn of diameter 4–5 wavelengths provides 80–87% aperture efficiency and a cross‐polar level below −30 dB for a horn length greater than 20 wavelengths. © 2002 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
