✦ Synopsis
The behaviour of five italian fly ashes in mixtures with lime, phosphogypsum and water has been investigated at 25 and 40°C using a composition ratio fly ash:lime:phosphogypsum of 60:40:20.The experimental results have shown that particle size distribution mainly influences fly ash reactivity at early ages, while chemical composition and amorphous phase content play a prevailing role at later ages. The reaction products, calcium trisulphoaluminate and silicate hydrates, make these systems interesting in the field of building materials.
