Poly(ary1 ether ether ketone) is found to he compatible with poly(ary1 ether sulfone) a t a blending temperature 310Β°C. There is a single glass transition temperature (T,) for various compositions of the blend. The relationship of T, with composition obeys Gordon-Taylor's equation, where the adjusta

β¦ Synopsis
Structural studies of poly(aryl ether ether ketone ketone) (PEEKK) using small-angle X-ray scattering and one-dimensional electron density correlation function methods revealed that its aggregated state structure was significantly influenced by the annealing temperature. The long period L, the average thickness of the lamellae d, the electron density difference between the crystalline and amorphous regions h c 0 h a , and the invariant Q increased with increasing annealing temperature, but it was opposite to the case of the specific inner surfaces O s . A transition zone existed between the traditional ''two phases'' with a dimension about 0.5 nm for semicrystalline PEEKK.

Surface modification of poly(aryl ether ether ketone) (PEEK) film surfaces by oxygen plasma treatment was investigated. Two procedures, the direct plasma treatment and the remote oxygen plasma treatment, were used as oxygen plasma treatments, and the efficiency of the hydrophilic modification was di
Different routes for preparing poly(aryl ether ketone)s (PEKKs) are presented and compared. The properties of PEKKs are related to the content of metaphenyl links in the molecular main chains, the molecular chain branching degree, the gelation content by molecular crosslinks, and, especially, the re
Physical aging of poly(aryl ether ether ketone ketone) (PEEKK) has been investigated. Heat flow responses were measured after annealing the amorphous samples obtained by quenching the melt into an ice-water bath close to, but below, the glass transition temperature. The extent of aging is related to
The influence of CO 2 laser radiation on the surface properties of poly(ether ether ketone) (PEEK) is shown. The influence on the surface chemistry is nearly negligible, but the roughness increases and the crystallinity in the surface region decreases with increasing laser intensity. The crystallini
## Abstract The influence of electron beam irradiation on the properties of fluorineβcontaining poly(aryl ether ketone)s (FβPEK), derived from 2,3,4,5,6βpentafluorobenzoic acid, was examined. Irradiation was performed with an electron beam at a dose of 3.63 Γ 10^3^ Gy s^β1^ for which the correspond
