Existing methods to compute the bandwidth of probe-fed rectangular microstrip antenna elements are inaccurate for the range of substrate thicknesses considered for this research. When 0.0815h0 5 h (A0 is the free-space wacrelength and h is the substrate thickness) the effect of surface wacies is pre

## Abstract In this paper, a robust low‐cost 4Γ—4 microstrip antenna array is designed to be used in wireless communications systems working between 3.4 and 3.6 GHz. A foam substrate, together with a set of parasitic patches in two geometrical configurations, has been used to enhance its bandwidth.

## Abstract The method of finite coupled elementary lines (FCEL) is used in the analysis of a microstrip disk antenna with a larger parasitic director. A closed form expression of the effective radius for the used structure is proposed. The obtained numerical results are compared with published mea
