Overview: My work life includes being a civil servant for over a decade, several years in retail, a stint at the Royal Mail, and some fun in a bank and on a building site. During all that time creative writing has been an on/off hobby for me, never leading to any fully realised stories. That changed in 2006 when I entered a competition held by The Sun newspaper to find original short stories for the Quick Reads series. I was one of sixteen winners out of more than a hundred thousand entrants, and my story β€˜Last Gasp’ was printed in β€œThe Sun Book of Short Stories” in 2007. This unexpected validation spurred me on to write Infinite Complexity, and I decided to go the rout of self-publication as Kindle offers such a fantastic and intuitive way of reaching out to the reading public.
