✦ Synopsis

Lieutenant Linda Kay Daniels thought she was going to be able to settle down into a dull routine in the orbiting shipyard, playing a role in the construction and testing of the Athena. Athena was the first of a class of dreadnoughts, huge battleships originally designed to fight the privateers that roamed the asteroid belt. With the peace treaties signed after the Venus Rising affair, most privateers quit their criminal activities. Athena was no longer needed, so it was consigned to mothball status. After the episode with the Lost Colonies, the threat of an alien attack became a real possibility, so construction of Athena resumed. Yes, Lieutenant Daniels was ready for a dull routine. However, Linda Kay would once again be forced into saving Earth while trying to save her own life . . .

About the Author

Rowena Tulley is a degreed scientist and engineer.οΏ½ She has worked in the nuclear engineering field for over thirty years, and has many grey hairs to prove it.οΏ½ With this background, she lives in morbid fear that a smart reader will spot errors in the realism she attempts to infuse into her stories.οΏ½ As someone who does a large amount of technical writing and editing, she also cringes at the thought that a knowledgeable reader will spot spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors in her works. οΏ½This happened in "Lost Colonies" (typos have since been corrected), but hopefully there are none in "Infiltration".οΏ½ Ms. Tulley resides with her family in the lovely little town of Aiken, South Carolina.
