✦ Synopsis
Low frequency spectra of ?xurinc and cr-amino-iso-butyric acid were obtained by inelastic incoherent scattering of thermal ncuwons. The assi~men? of the peak positions to rotational or vibrational modes of the functional groups INH$ CW3 and CH2) was simplified by working with partially dcutentfd compountts.
I. introduction
The inelastic incoherent neutron scatterir.g of thermal neutrons is a very uset^ul method in studying molecular motion in the solid rtate. The systems rich in hydrogen and having hydrogen bond are most convenient for this kind of investigation.
Two compounds are found: taurine and &aminoiso-butyric acid (a-AIBA) as very interesting systems
