which resulted in the development of a chronic polyarthritis having a morphologic and serologic resemblance to RA (5). This study was carried out to further characterize rabbit arthritis induced by hyperimmunization with heat-killed E coli 0: 14, and to examine breed differences in the animals' susceptibility to the development of joint lesions.
