this method does eliminate the possibility of mixing during the loading process which the air-block method does not. The method could also be used for the B-XVI rotor, as described by Chervenka and Cherry (4), when the properties of the centrifugal valve change, so causing malfunctioning which may result in poor resolving power. In this case the centrifugal valve must, of course, be removed first.
