determine the relevant ergonomics data in the design and layout of controls for fork lift trucks. It is hoped the results will form the basis for a standard on controls and their layout on such vehicles. This would allow for (1) quick efficient training, (2) efficient vehicle operation, (3) the maintenance vL, of operator wellbeing and safety.

This new report contains LA recommendations for control design and location limits based on tests carried out on counterbalanced fork lift trucks in operation, and standard Ft ergonomics data.
