โฆ Synopsis
We introduce a measure of diversity related to the problem of selecting n objects from a pool of candidates lying in q categories. We introduce the concept of target diversity index (TDI) and describe various agendas for defining it. We look at the problem of trying to select elements to satisfy some desirable criterion that additionally satisfies a requirement of being diverse. We suggest some aggregation methods for combining these multiple criteria.
