✦ Synopsis

I ncisional hernia is a true iatrogenic hernia. Its formation is a common complication of abdominal and flank wounds, but it is extremely rare that the gallbladder is the organ involved. We describe a case in which protrusion of the gallbladder through the endoabdominal fascia was demonstrated by sonography in a patient with gallbladder carcinoma.
