However, there have been no systematic studies on the incidence of colo-rectal cancer in the USSR. This report presents data on the descriptive epidemiology of colo-rectal cancer in Moscow, using the most recent incidence data available.
Average annual age-standardized incidence rates of colon cancer for 1985-1987 were 16.0 in males and 12.9 in females, and rates for rectal cancer were 12.1 and 8.4 in males and females, respectively.
