## Abstract The ventral medial prefrontal cortex (vMPFC) comprises the prelimbic cortex (PL) and the infralimbic cortex (IL). Conflicting results have been reported from studies aiming to investigate the role played by the vMPFC in behavioral and autonomic responses evoked in rodents exposed to exp
