โฆ Synopsis
Crabs Oziotelphusa senex senex were exposed to various subacute levels (0.5, 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0mgL -1) of sumithion for periods of 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, and 25 days, and the hepatopancreatic acid phosphatase was investigated. In all the four exposure groups the acid phosphatase activity increased significantly (P < 0.001) at 24 hr after exposure. The maximal elevation of enzyme activity was observed at day 5, the time at which maximal histological damage was seen. With the beginning of recovery the enzyme tended to decrease and gradually approached control values.
