A cell-free supernatant and an ethanolic extract of a 3-day-old culture of Bacillus UCR-236 inhibited the growth of Mycena citricolor, as determined by the 'Oxford cylinder' method. A 3-day-old culture of the same bacterium also decreased leaf infection by the pathogen in a moisture-chamber test.
