## Abstract The effect of silica reinforcement was studied for natural rubber (NR) and butadiene rubber (BR) vulcanizates by a sol–gel reaction with tetraethoxysilane at different temperatures. The formation of silica in the rubber vulcanizates was investigated analytically with Fourier transform i
