The unsteady laminar boundary layer flow is investigated for a semi-infinite flat plate subj ected to impulsive motion. An approximate solution is obtained by utilizing Meksyn's method. These results vary smoothly from Rayleigh's unsteady solution to the steady stare solution of Blasius. Results are
