✦ Synopsis

Improving the shape-selectivity of a selectivity and durability of a range of zeolite zeolite types.

The zeolite is for use as a hydrocarbon conversion catalyst. It is first treated with a catalytic metal. It is then modified by heating with an organosilicon compound which deactivates the acid groups on the crystal surfaces, without entering the pores and affecting the active sites within. Heating is accomplished by raising the temperature at a controlled rate. Such treatments improve the US

Despite the fact that more than 90% of production processes in industry are catalyzed, most chemists and engineers are restricted to trial and error when searching for the proper catalyst. This book is the first emphasizing industrial aspects of catalysis and also particularly well suited to studyin
