β¦ Synopsis
Improving Teacher Effectiveness is an interactive microcom- puter videodisc package developed to create an environment in which the teacher can become more aware of actions that will promote student learning. The teacher training has also been chosen to demonstrate to the teacher, by example, videodisc use in learning. The learning environment can accommodate individualized or group instructional modes. Teachers can study four principles of effective instruction in which they can observe models, label characteristics, write lesson plans for instruction, and refer to a video dictionary. This environment provides teachers both the power of interactive computing and the audiovisual capability of television.
