✦ Synopsis
Bioaffinity NMR is based on the observation of transferred NOE (trNOE) effects which stem from bioactive components in a mixture containing a library of small compounds and a protein target. Zero-quantum coherence signals can interfere with the trNOE cross peaks and, in the worst case, prevent the detection of a bioactive compound in a library. The dephasing of these zero-quantum coherence signals during the experiment significantly improves the bioaffinity NMR spectra obtained and greatly reduces the risk of misinterpretations.
