โœฆ Synopsis

Africa, has commissioned a C5olefins isomerization process developed by Axens. The 50,000 kg/hour Iso-5 unit is being used to enhance the concentration of etherforming olefins for a t-amyl methyl ether unit. The isomerization comes after a typical acid-catalyzed process involving formation of a carbonium ion produced by protonating the olefinic double bond.

A new method for the preparation of functionalized polyolefins is presented. The method consists of two steps: (i) copolymerization of ethylene and/or an cy-olefin with 1-iodo-3-butene (ii) elimination or substitution reaction of the iodine atom, by reaction with an organic salt of potassium, in the

Surface analytical technique ESCA (electron spectrometer for chemical analysis) has been used for analysis of catalysts used in propylene polymerization. As a result of this analysis it has been shown that productivity of a catalyst can be correlated to Ti/Mg atomic ratio that indicates dispersion o
