Abstract
In this report we describe a very convenient synthetic method for the preparation in high yields and purity of cyclic [N~3~P~3~(OCH~2~CF~3~)~6~] and [N~3~P~3~(OC~6~H~4~R)~6~] (R = Br, CN, CHO, COC~6~H~5~, COCH~3~, H, OCH~3~), and polymeric [NP(OC~6~H~4~R)~2~]~n~ (R = Br, CHO, COC~6~H~5~, H, Bu^t^) phosphazenes from the direct reaction of the trimer [N~3~P~3~Cl~6~] or the high polymer [NPCl~2~]~n~ and the alcohol HOCH~2~CF~3~ or the para‐substituted phenols HOC~6~H~4~R, using Cs~2~CO~3~ as proton abstractor and acetone or tetrahydrofuran as solvent.
