✦ Synopsis

A method for moulding a seal directly into a plug connector is described. The seal is introduced in the shape in which the plug connector part is produced, only a tool opening movement being required. The plug connector is injection moulded and the sealing chamber is opened and the seal is injected while the hard component is still in the malleable state such that the hard component, connector body, is pressed outward. The sealing chamber can be automatically opened by means of a spring-loaded ring.
