โฆ Synopsis
In vitro cultured tobacco callus &sue, wluch contains a high actlvlty of peroxldase, was used to construct an amperometruz lxosensor for the detectIon of hydrogen peroxide The tissue was mcorporated mto a carbon paste matnx along with ferrocene, an electron mediator The detectIon of hydrogen peronde was accomphshed through Its enzymatic reduction medlated by ferrocene Comparison studies conducted Hrlth normally grown types of tobacco tissues Indicate that the callus tissue has the highest blocatalytx activity and the least variance behveen tissue preparations with respect to senxx response toward hydrogen peroxide AddItionally, the sensor exh&nts a remarkably long hfetune of more than 5 months Other important charactenstxs of the sensor include fast response times (less than 2 s), wde dynamic range (5 X 10e6-1 10 X 10e4 M) and a detection hnut of 7 5 x 10m7 M hydrogen peroxide
